The deal, and I don’t mean poker cards, I mean life itself

Life is a wild card or a “wild card” at best. What I mean is that the best opportunities present themselves as seemingly worthless “wild cards” that look like work, but are actually great opportunities in the best guises. When I think about my life, it really has been, opportunities always come dressed in work clothes “looking like a bum” and then end up being the biggest thing of all.

As I write this article, I am listening to Brian Tracy talk about the Law of Attraction in one of his programs that I purchased a while ago. I totally agree with what he says on the show, but I would also like to say this: we must recognize opportunity in whatever form it comes, we must always be alert, that is quintessential mental nourishment in a positive sense. That also means we should embrace the “jokers” of opportunity more than the “aces” and “royal flushes” in life, although those more obvious cards may “look better” on the surface, some of the best opportunities to say so . As William Clement Stone put it, the most horrible problems arise and therein lie the greatest opportunities.

Most of my family, including my dad and only sister, have left Earth, except for my mother and a few other relatives, and I am not married and not interested in having children. I mention this so as not to feel sorry for myself or anything like that, but actually I see all of this as a genuine opportunity to trust myself and the best “wild card” opportunity in life to change everything and make things work. for me instead of has a “deep responsibility”. I could “cry a tear into my beer over it” and genuinely feel sorry for myself. But instead I’m a “working failure” who doesn’t drink, smoke, “party” or whatever. I really see opportunities in life and reality for what they are, when they come. Sure, sometimes I complain, but inside I always look for the deep good in everything, and I mean it. all. As they say in a game of poker, the jackpot wild could be anywhere and everywhere, so swagger with your style and win the hand as the best chance in life ever. Who knows, it can be? After all, poker is a down-to-earth game of guts, money management, and disciplined pursuit and seizing of opportunities, and ultimately, such is life. I don’t mean to be dishonest, I mean honestly take the opportunity, manage well and you will get to a great place.

Sometimes I mention an old movie from 1983 called “Eddie and the Cruisers” and its sequel which came out in 1989. The character of Eddie Wilson, said in a line in the first original film and predicted the outcome of both the original film and its sequel which showed what happened after the character of Eddie Wilson faked his death in the first film, that the paths of life and existence are different from each other, but not better than the other, and that is real and honest, but I would like to say this: genuine opportunity comes as a “wild card” which looks like work, it’s no better than “ace”, “double pair” or “royal flush”, just different. People lose and win all the time, whatever the hand. If played incorrectly, you lose, even if you have a winning hand. If played correctly, you win, even if you appear to have a losing hand. That said: life is the deal, and reality is the hand. It doesn’t matter what you get in the deal, it’s how you play the entire game right or wrong. Thats the reality.
