The 1 Reason Most People Are Unsuccessful

Earlier this week I was trying to explain to my 9 year old daughter the universal grid that is in play. This happened after I had a simple thought that morning: I would love to start the day with a walk on the beach before my clients call me. Not even two minutes later, my first scheduled customer of the day asked if it was possible to move our call to a later time! This is how the universe works. And what I explained to Ella is that the universe knows what’s best for everyone involved. It doesn’t open up my schedule for a walk on the beach at the expense of someone else missing something. Moving the call worked better for my client as well, and it was the gentle nudge of the universe that made her take action and reach out to see if it worked. Inspired action has yet to take place.

One of my friends posted this picture later in the week, and it’s literally the image I was envisioning and I even tried to do a Google search to show Ella. We are just a point, or some would argue an idea (deep down, I know), in the vast universe. The universe knows exactly how to make everyone happy and how to make it happen so it works for EVERYONE. We just have to notice the guide and say yes. Imagine trying to figure out all these pieces on your own! Oh! Thank goodness we don’t have to worry about “how” to make everything we seek happen.

So why isn’t everyone taking advantage of this? Well, unfortunately, these are airy fairy concepts for some, and the stories they tell themselves keep them exactly where they are as a result. Dissatisfied, unhappy and trying tirelessly.

Read today’s article to learn the number one reason that holds people back and how to overcome it too.

So why don’t most people achieve their big dreams?

1. Well, they start worrying about how they’re going to make it happen and talk themselves out of it!

PRAYED..

2. If they have decided to try, they let all the negative self-talk and conditioned stories in their brain from their past keep them from moving forward.

It depends on what stage of the process you are at.

I tend to see more of the latter, as I usually work with people who have already said yes to their entrepreneurial dreams. However, the first keeps coming when they are still not where they want to be and continue to dream of more: a better lifestyle, more support, more ease, and this is usually after trying hard and then feeling overwhelmed.

So how do we move through this?

Well, with #1. I have found that the most helpful thought process is to begin to see evidence in your life and in what you have already created that there is something greater at play. The universe (insert your own belief system here as to what that higher power is to you), is always guiding us and has a bigger plan than we could have created for ourselves. Look at how you just “knew” to make that phone call or follow up with someone on a “hunch,” and it ended up leading to something great. That is the guide we all have there for us.

When we can get into that belief system, we can begin to let go of “how” we are going to make things happen and begin to have “trust” and “faith” in what we cannot see. Until we see the evidence to back it up, of course. I have seen it over and over again in my own life and in the lives of my clients, that it is now too hard to deny and has become a belief that I know to be true at my core. I’ve seen enough evidence to support it. Do I forget that sometimes he’s there for me? Yes, it is a constant wake-up call, and I would even go so far as to say it is an awareness of how deep we can go with guidance. Where we can literally get support for all of our thoughts and don’t even have to “think” our way out of anything really. But it does involve a constant state of asking and then being open to receiving.

Which brings me to #2. With this one, I see many people getting stuck in old childhood stories and beliefs (many are not even aware of what thoughts and ideas they have accepted as truth) that keep them stuck in an energy that is not conducive to receiving guidance.

What you put out, you get back, so if you feel unworthy or not good enough deep down, that’s the energy you’re putting in, regardless of what you “say” you want. Your subconscious is steering the ship and it all comes down to the beliefs and feelings you have stored there.

Quick example: you can think; “I’d love to be successful,” but deep down if you “feel” that successful people are somehow rude or arrogant, you don’t want to be successful because it violates your value system. Instead, you operate from the feelings you’ve associated with success rather than what you say you want.

That’s just one example and it shows up in a myriad of ways, procrastination being another.

Unfortunately, these things manifest most strongly when we run our own business. Because we are exposing ourselves in new and unprecedented ways, and this feels threatening to our subconscious mind, which wants us to stay safe. Growing up doesn’t feel safe. So it will literally show you every reason in the book to stay small: “I’m too tired”, “I’ll do it tomorrow”, etc. and obtains their consent to stop.

The way to change this is to start looking deeply into what you think is causing you to be where you are. This can be hard to do alone, it’s hard to see our own blind spots, and this is definitely where I recommend getting some support.

Be willing to go there. It’s hard to look at this garbage, but it’s worth it.

Then you can start shedding light on those beliefs and start reaffirming the belief you want over and over again and adding the emotional feelings of how it will feel to select what you want.

For me it was: Your Success is Sure.

And then what would that look like if it were true, what would that feel like.

You will then begin to make decisions and behave from this train of thought, thus creating what you have been visualizing.

You strengthen the new belief because you now have evidence of it in your life.

Your subconscious realizes that it is safe to think and behave from this place, and this becomes the new norm.

The two combined, faith in something bigger than yourself and replacing old belief systems that no longer serve you, is the winning combination.

Because what you turn off always, without fail, comes back.
