Healthy Recipes With Seitan

At a family gathering, we always find ourselves having fun and most of all, we find ourselves eating all kinds of food. Sometimes this makes us wonder if we should slow down. It’s okay to eat like there’s no tomorrow for an occasion, but what happens when we eat greasy, greasy food every day of our lives? All that cholesterol is not good for the human heart. Mature children often have to watch parents across the table as they gobble down their favorite greasy food.

At the end of the day, after everyone has left, you start lecturing your father, telling him that he has to watch what he eats, especially at his age. A person cannot change the food that is put on the table, because it is the women of the house who cook. Women can change what is brought to the table and it will make a big difference in the health of their family. Here is an example of a healthy recipe for the family:

This is called the basic Seitan. It is a substitute for meat, and this consists of wheat gluten, which is very high in protein, but very low in fat. If you have the right materials, this dish can be quite easy to make.

You will either fall in love with this dish or hate it with everything you have. If in the end you love it, follow the recipe because it is easy to follow. If you have never heard of the dish, give it a try. Remember, leftovers after treating yourself can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week and a half without going off.

Ingredients

1 x gallon of water

1 piece of ginger

1/2 cup soy sauce

1 x cup gluten flour (this is also known as 80% gluten or high gluten)

1-2 cups of warm water

These ingredients make 2 lbs.

method

1) A large pot containing the gallon of water with the soy sauce and the piece of ginger should be brought to a boil. In the meantime:

2) While that is happening, mix the gluten and the 1-2 cups of warm water with your hands and until the mixture ends up being a sticky drop.

3) Next, you have to run cold water over the drop and then knead it with your knuckles for about 3 minutes. Remember to change the water once it turns cloudy. If the gluten is fresh, it will hold the dough together. If it is not fresh, the kneading will break it. In this case, just pick up the pieces and press them into the drop.

4) Once the water has started to boil, cut the gluten into pieces (about the size of your finger) and drop them into the rapidly boiling water. This can be cooked for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Keep in mind that seitan can be a substitute for meat in any recipe that calls for it! (stew, stir-fry, chili, etc.)
