While many politicians articulate a politically correct message, claiming support for the protection of the environment, including clean air and water, few seem to have any kind of workable plan, rather than mere empty promises and rhetoric. Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, who is also the United Nations special envoy for climate change (for several years), is an exception. He is a politician and billionaire, constantly putting his money where his mouth is, donating hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental causes. His recent and important donation to beyond carbon, as well as his visionary support for the ideals of the Paris Agreements, set him apart from the rest of the group. Unfortunately, President Donald Trump is not only often in denial about climate change, he has removed many of the previous protections, which were at least a step in the right direction. The reality is that there is no time to delay on this issue, because either we started to take the risks seriously and pay attention to CLIMATIZED problems, or we will put the well-being of future generations at risk.
