Maplestory Hit Point (HP) and Magic Point (MP) Laundering Facts, FAQs & Figures

Although the basics of various techniques, equations, and ideas for laundering Hit Point (HP) in Maplestory are covered in other articles, there are other facts, figures, and questions that might not have been addressed in the other articles.

To get you started, here are some HP numbers that can be important milestones for various situations. Unless otherwise stated, they will apply to most classes other than wizards. Mages gain an ability that allows them to reduce the amount of damage taken in HP and apply it to MP. Warriors also gain power protection which helps with physical damage (usually walking into a monster), but doesn’t help with magical damage.

*3.6k HP – able to survive a hit from Crimson Balrogs and drop Pianus attacks.
*3.7k HP – Safely take a hit from skeletons. This is the “end game” training monster for many classes. In some versions of Maplestory, it is no longer “the best”, but it is still frequently used.
*4.1k HP – Able to survive Papulutus’s bombs, making for easy solos or parties without hb. Also enough HP for most main bosses.
*4875 HP (7.8k with hyperbody) – the “magic number” to be able to survive in Horn Tail. This boss is bad, but with both minimal HP and a quick reaction to pots, you should be able to survive.
*8k HP – Enough HP to survive Black Crow (aka Tengu) and Bigfoot (for warriors with Powerguard)
*18k HP – Allows you to survive a slap from Anego (also known as a boss), which means the ability to play this high-experience boss solo.
*18750 HP – Allows you to reach the maximum HP currently available in most versions of Maplestory when using Hyperbody

Data and frequently asked questions:
Although they may not be in question/answer form, here are some interesting facts that revolve around many frequently asked questions about washing Hp.

*The HP/MP limit (the maximum you can have) for all job classes is 30,000. There are rumors that it will increase, but this has not happened yet.
*Resetting out MP or HP without first putting points into one of these stats will not work. You can’t remove extra mp to get a pure bonus to your desired damage stat
*You can start using Int gear from level one if you plan things right. There are bandanas and umbrellas with a level one requirement.
*Yes Int can affect MP gain when leveling or adding AP points to MP. No, there is no other stat you can add to increase your HP in the same way.
*It is NOT possible to reach 30k HP without HP and bloodwash. In theory, you CAN reach max MP as a mage with perfect or near-perfect INT equipment.
*The techniques in these items for HP washing are an unofficial way of doing it. There are cash shop items available in some versions of Maplestory to do so which may be available everywhere in the future
*If done correctly, HP and MP flushing will not affect a character’s strength, but blood flushing will weaken a character’s damage potential.
* Mages are rarely, if ever, mentioned in hp wash guides because the benefits to a mage are so small for the cost.
