The horoscope of Bill Gates, Jr., the founder of Microsoft Corporation is a very interesting read. His sidereal horoscope has Gemini rising with Jupiter in the 3rd house (Leo), Mars and Mercury in the 4th house (Virgo); the Sun, Venus and Saturn in the 5th house (Libra). It is quite obvious that his horoscope has to have a tremendous wealth-generating and ruling combination. A quick glance at his horoscope shows that, if read from the ascendant, he will have to stretch his intellectual sinews to prove that this is the horoscope of an individual who happens to be a world-famous billionaire. You’ll have a hard time doing mental calisthenics to distinguish it from other horoscopes you see on a dime a dozen. I have seen the horoscope of a woman with the same ascendant with similarly placed Mercury and Venus and a better placed Mars, but she is not a billionaire, far from it, she is in bad shape, financially speaking.
Bill Gates’ hot-headed Saturn period ended very early when he was less than three years old. Thereafter, the Mercury period lasted until he was 19 years old. After that, he began his 7-year Ketu (dragon tail) period. This period ended just after he signed an agreement with IBM in 1981. For twenty years afterward, that is, in 2002, he reigned supreme in the twenty-year period of Venus in the fifth house of Libra, a trine house. While this explains his 20-year period of his phenomenal rise, it does not explain the incubation period, so to speak, of seven years that precede it. Unless, of course, you view it from the root moon placed in the tenth house. Here, Ketu is sitting pretty in the third house, which represents her courage and hands, among other things. It is extremely good that a malefic is in the 3rd house. It is also important that the lords of 4 thin houses (ie 3, 6, 8 and 12) are weak. Of course, here also the lords of two trinal houses and the 2nd house (Moon and Mars) and two angles (Mercury-4 and 7) are in mutual aspect and conjunction, which gives tremendous weight to the general horoscope.
It is this and the multiplier effect of so many rare ascendant and Moon combinations that has lifted it to the top and kept it there for decades.
