Why do I follow the way of eating of the medical environment?

Not interested

For the past 8 months I have been following the Medical Medium way of eating. I had bought some of his books, like his thyroid healing book, but never read it because my thyroid test results were in range and have stayed that way for a few years. So I sold his books because I knew that he believed that viruses were the main cause of many diseases, especially the Epstein Barr virus, and I had had this and the test results proved it; I felt powerless at the thought of a virus having so much power over my health.


Then, after starting therapy using Logosynthesis with Anni Reynolds, he casually asked me if I knew of the Medical Medium’s way of eating and I brushed him off, saying yes, I wasn’t really interested in that.

Keto didn’t work for me

Then I came across some information that brought her eating back on my radar, I learned that cutting out carbs, which I had done by eating Wheat Belly, then eating Paleo and Keto, can cause thyroid issues. Then I ran into other people who had said that they also ended up with health problems by going carb-free. (In my recovery from hyperthyroidism, I ate as much as I wanted, including lots of cakes and cookies, because it was pretty hard to eat because I had no appetite.)

So I read the first Medical Medium book, which was an overview of his eating, listened to most of his podcasts, and looked at his website. And I came to understand that he could work slowly to clear viruses from his body and that certain foods were healing.

I had been discouraged by food and its healing power, because I felt that I was already eating healthy and was only making myself sicker. I soon realized that eliminating certain food groups was the problem.

I started juicing celery right away, resolving that half a bunch of celery in the morning was my sweet spot, where I didn’t detox too fast and my body could handle it.

Within a week, most of my digestive symptoms were gone, namely bloating and acid reflux. I drink celery juice most mornings, in the early days I used to miss a day because I felt like I needed a break, now I don’t have such strong detox symptoms.

It also took me a while to understand their heavy metal detox shake that I try to have on most days. One of the ingredients is Dulse and I make it into capsules and take it that way as having it in the shake made me feel quite nauseous when I had it in the shake. You can have all the ingredients separately, as long as you have them all within a 24 hour period.


He is big on eating fruit. We really have been brainwashed into believing that fruit is bad, and having more fruit in my diet has really helped with sugar cravings. There is a feeling of satiety that eating this way gives me, which I never had following any other protocol.


In the last half week I have decided to become a vegetarian. Anyway, I eat 90% vegetarian and have less and less desire to eat meat and chicken, and I realized that by not committing to it, I couldn’t look for other foods that could make me feel fuller, coming to Winter . Things like vegan burgers, creating heavy meals.
