I had decided that I wanted to purchase a mid-size countertop toaster oven, mainly because I was more interested in the element of the oven than its ability to toast. What really appeals to me about the internet is that it gives you the ability to do a lot of research on anything you’re thinking of buying and it opens up a lot of information ranging from discount sites where you can buy what you’re looking for, to true customer reviews of the product from people who actually bought and used the product.
One of the problems is that because there is a large amount of information, it can be very time consuming and there is no real way to shorten the whole process. Once I really started doing the research, I found that it’s very easy to go off on a tangent and start looking for other things that aren’t really related to what you’re trying to investigate, yet having gotten past that hurdle and focused my concentration. he quickly came to some conclusions.
My starting budget was around $250 and during my search I came across several reviews of The Cuisinart TOB 195 Toaster Oven and it quickly became the center of my attention. I checked the Amazon site and found, to my surprise, that they were offering this item for sale at $138, which was 58% off the regular price.
This was too good a deal to miss, so I quickly went through all the reviews I could find about the oven and then went ahead and bought it. What surprised me was that this oven was actually selling on Amazon as a used item for $136 bucks, whereas it was possible to buy it for $138 brand new, I know, don’t ask me!
I have used Amazon for many years and enjoy shopping on their site not only because of the quality of the products and the actual delivery but also the fact that you can track your delivery through their site and we all know you can buy from them with full trust.
I have been using the oven for over six months and I am delighted with its performance, as they say, “it does what it says on the box”. I tend to have a very varied household routine, so meal planning isn’t really one of my strong points, so I’m particularly pleased that the oven is able to reach optimal temperature in less than four minutes, which which means I can put a pizza in. without having to wait years, and although with a tabletop oven you can get a 12-inch pizza, which perfectly suits my lifestyle and tastes!!
The only two downsides I found with this product is that it doesn’t have an interior light and depending on where you put it in the kitchen you might have a hard time seeing inside the oven, I can’t for the life of me figure that out. what the manufacturers were thinking by not putting an interior light. The other thing I find is that the removable crumb tray is accessed from the back of the oven, this means you have to pull the oven away from the wall to remove it. It’s not a huge hassle as it means I take the opportunity to clean the work surface below, but it can be a bit of a pain at times.
The tray supplied with the oven is good, sturdy and has a slightly concave center which is a great idea as it allows the juices to escape as you have to tilt the tray slightly to get it into the oven. care must be taken not to spill any juices over the side.
The Cuisinart TOB 195 Toaster Oven comes with a very comprehensive manual that includes a number of really great recipes for you to try. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase of this oven, its sleek stainless steel finish gives it the air of professional kitchen equipment and of course the Cuisinart brand is well respected and when combined with the Amazon site makes the whole package very attractive, more so this great discounted price.
You should go and buy one at this price!
