Diet soda and aspartame: the ugly and unhealthy truth

Soft drinks, diet sodas, and other processed diet foods generally contain high fructose sugar or aspartame, artificial and synthetic additives, packed with GMOs that are poisonous to your body. No nutrients, vitamins, just unhealthy ingredients.

Many people believe that diet sodas can help you lose weight, but the opposite is true. Diet soda or any processed diet food that contains aspartame and other toxic ingredients has been shown to cause weight gain.

I need some proof:

  • Researchers at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) in San Antonio gathered 10 years of data on 474 participants that make up a larger group that was an ongoing study called the San Antonio Longitudinal Study of Aging. These participants consumed 2 or more diet sodas per day and their waist size increased 6 times more than those who did not drink diet sodas.
  • According to a 2010 study by researchers conducted by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases found that the body’s reaction to ingesting artificial sweeteners appears to confuse the brain on how to process it, which also indicates that it is causing many other negative consequences. and unhealthy in the functions of your body.
  • At the annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the notion that drinking diet beverages is helpful for weight loss was completely disproved. According to their studies, diet drinks with artificial sweeteners (aspartame) cause a 70% increase in waist size. They believe that using the term DIET is completely misleading. Later research showed that aspartame is actually responsible for raising blood sugar levels.

Studies have shown that soft drinks contribute to many other health problems such as:

  • Osteoporosis

  • Diabetes

  • Heart disease

  • Liver disease

  • Cancer

There are many reasons why you should not drink diet soda or regular soda. So why not make today the day you take the step to stop drinking soda altogether and start living a healthy lifestyle?
